B2B Manufacturing Cable & Wire

Specly: Inquiry Automation

The problem

A B2B cable manufacturer was drowning in inbound inquiries — product specs, pricing, availability, order status — arriving across email, web forms, and messaging channels. Three people spent most of their working day on triage and response. They couldn’t scale.

What we built

Specly conversation management interface

We built and deployed Specly — our own multi-channel inquiry automation product — for this client. Specly integrates directly with the client’s CRM, handles intake across all channels, classifies intent, retrieves relevant product and order data, and generates responses — escalating to a human only when genuinely needed.

Specly is a product NAAIC built and owns. This case study reflects its first production deployment, at a manufacturing client. Specly is now available as a standalone SaaS for other manufacturers.

The accelerator architecture

The core pattern — multi-channel intake → intent classification → data retrieval → response generation → escalation routing — is reusable. If your team handles high-volume inbound requests across channels, we’ve already built the architecture. Deployment time for a similar system is materially shorter.

Outcome

  • 3 FTE → 1 FTE handling inbound inquiries
  • CRM-integrated, multi-channel (email, web form, messaging)
  • Productized as Specly.co
